How does the brain develop and why do things sometimes go wrong? These are the questions that stem cell researcher and neuroscientist Nicole Amberg wants to answer. To develop new therapies, she is studying the cerebellum and its developmental path all the way back to the early formation of the nervous system.

The researcher is convinced that it will take many creative minds to find solutions to complex questions like these. That is why Amberg is strongly committed to diversity and the advancement of women through the "STEM fatale" initiative that she founded.
