Climate change and its consequences
He was one of the first authors among philosophers to contribute to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) latest assessment report. The Austrian researcher Lukas Meyer deals, among other things, with intergenerational justice - a central question that also arises in dealing with climate change.
As head of an FWF-funded doctoral programme, Meyer has contributed to the establishment of an internationally renowned research field in which excellent young researchers from various disciplines work together and conduct socially oriented basic research.
