In the FWF-funded doctoral programme "Imaging the Mind", international research teams are pursuing the big question of how the human brain functions. Subdivided into many aspects - such as learning, sleeping, consciousness, mental disorders or social behaviour – scholars at the University of Salzburg use state-of-the-art methods to investigate cognitive processes. They are placing a special focus on the topic of sleep and memory. - What happens in the subconscious?
