Post-pandemic mobility relaunch for postdocs

Alois Pumhösel

The mobility of researchers has been abruptly interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. Climate change and its consequences – our responsibility?

Opinion: Lukas Meyer

We can all contribute to climate protection, not least by reducing the emissions we generate personally. Taking our responsibility as individuals seriously is also sending out a signal to political decision-makers to ensure fair burden sharing. It is clear that, unless drastic measures are taken, we will not be able to prevent more climate catastrophes […] Continue reading “Climate change and its consequences – our responsibility?”

Learning from each other

Interview: Ingrid Ladner

When practitioners and researchers form an alliance for change, the stakes are often high, but so are the chances of success. Transdisciplinary projects of that kind enable the partners to negotiate conflicts of interest and develop solutions to social problems. In this interview, Christian Pohl from the ETH Zurich explains why it is time for […] Continue reading “Learning from each other”

No peace without rapprochement

In 1649, the Habsburg envoy Johann Rudolf Schmid zum Schwarzenhorn headed a diplomatic mission to Constantinople.
