The diversity of Austro-Palestinian encounters

With the support of the FWF, social anthropologist Leonardo Schiocchet conducted a Lise-Meitner project exploring Austrian-Palestinian encounters, which are marked not so much by clear concerns and affiliations as by generations, values and experiences. With the support of the Austrian Science Fund FWF, a team of political scientists led by Sieglinde Rosenberger investigated civil society protests relating to the polarising issues of asylum and deportation. The researchers compared the evolution, objectives and outcomes of solidarity protests in Austria, Germany and Switzerland between 1993 and 2013.
