The field of research of Klaus-Dieter Mathes finds its home in the mountains of Nepal and Tibet. In a project funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF the scientist from the University of Vienna has investigated the heyday of a body of Buddhist meditation teachings and thus preserved valuable Tibetan history.
